Sun to Sell Windows

Back in the excitingly heady days of the dot-com bubble, the rivalry between Sun and Microsoft was one of the highlights. Sun’s famous motto “The Network is the Computer” threatened to make Microsoft’s desktop monopoly obsolete, and visions of a world of thin clients running Java backed up by expensive Sun servers were dancing in then-CEO Scott McNealy’s head. Much has changed since then, of course. McNealy resigned, lawsuits were settled, and these days Sun and Microsoft are fast friends. Now, in a rather stunning bit of news, Microsoft and Sun announced at a press conference that Sun has signed up to become a Windows Server Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), selling Sun x64-based servers that come bundled with Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Sun has released a chart showing which hardware will be ready for the Windows operating system, and the company is expected to ship the first bundled systems within 90 days.

Passing the Buck

Nuraina A Samad

I don’t know about you but I think trying to make a case against Nurin Jazlin’s parents is really going too too too far. Taking this blame game, if ever there is one, way too far.

That’s what the Inspector-General of Police is doing right now.

He said Nurin’s parents can be charged for negligence under the Children’s Protection Act.

Yes…. I am very very sure that they very well can be.

Heck…. why don’t we just stack the full force of the law against them. Let’s punish Nurin’s parents, why don’t we, because they deserved to be punished!

That can be done.

Life without Principle

There is this guy , who was given a whole company by a good old man, for him to manage. so that he could learn, gain experience and perhaps in the future, he could get a decent good life out of it. This old man has a group of companies operated and chaired by him. The company is ready with everything you name it:

  • customer base
  • building
  • employees
  • product to start up with

Somehow , the company had not enough cash to sustain it operation. So the good old man pump the company with some cash, close to million… Perhaps, the good old man not asking for anything , but for me, its the guy ‘responsibility’ to pay back something to the old man. Eg dividend of shares etc.

Anyhow, not so long after that, this guy started to begin doing things that are not correct and unethical. Eg transferring money to other companies, not communicating with the old man about the company performance , practicing bribery, and declaring loss even though the company is making money

Perhaps this guy is blinded with money he gained and going to gain. Maybe he’s thinking about his short term objective. He wanted to be rich, he want his family to be wealthier..He wanted to be a millionaire perhaps.
So he started giving funny reasons to the old man to takeover the company which he was just suppose to manage and run…. and trying to distant himself from the old man. He is grabbing the opportunity. Best ever so far..
Being a wise old man, he did what ever necessary… He gave away the company to the guy…

I asked him why?

He said, people like this has no principle in his life. You do not have to waste your energy and your time on him.  That guy limit himself to his short term view, where he did not know that i was going to handle all my business to him. Let him run the company the way he like. But im sure he will run it with emptiness, for what he care about is money and greed. He has no passion and patience to see more better opportunity is waiting for him.
Now i understand. I should have not waste my energy and time. Move on… thanks old man. You’ve taught me priceless lesson.

Appreciation and Patience

People these days do not know how to appreciate anymore. Especially when we
are trying to make them better..Giving opportunities and chances….but they seems to forget…
They do not know how to be patient. Perhaps at least these people contribute back to the givers in some way …even though the givers do not want anything in return… Anyhow i’m sure those givers are happy that these people had achieve something perhaps…. But then, be polite to the benefactor, be patient. What harm can it cause by being patience?
It’s never been easy to be patient, but it’s probably harder now than at any time in history. In a world in which messages can be sent across the world instantly, in which seemingly everything is available for immediate purchase with a few clicks of the mouse, it’s hard not to always expect instant gratification. But patience is still a virtue. We don’t always get instant gratification, and some of the best things in life require years of hard work and waiting. Become more patient and life becomes more enjoyable: your relationships with other people may become more rewarding, your job may become less stressful, and even the hardest times in your life can become more bearable.
Now i understand something…….

Ramadan Nights: Adam between Soul & Body

Ramadan Nights: Adam between Soul & Body
Amr Khaled
Translated by www.daralislaamlive .com

Introduction
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Time is passing, so be careful. Do you remember these words “Numbered Days”? Although Ramadan consists of 30 days, time really flies, and you will find yourself wondering if you were saved from the Hell fire or not. Are you totally occupied with the issue of savior from the Hell Fire?
Does Prophet Mohamed’s Hadith (PBUH) “For Allah, there are people who are saved from Hell fire in Ramadan and this happens every night.” have an impact on you? Or do you just say “Oh Yes, we all hear about the issue of savior from Hell Fire, and God willing, Allah will save us all”?!
Are you really dying to be saved from the Hell Fire this Ramadan? Is it something vital to you? Is it the main theme of your life, that you are saved in these 30 days?
I know that in Ramadan, there are two types of people; people who pray with us, that God saves, but from the inside, it is not something crucial to their lives, and yet they are praying, while there are other people who are dying to be forgiven and saved from the Hell Fire.

Jiwa yang luhur mencari kebenaran

Taken from Malaysia-Today – Minda Mufti

Dutch MP calls for ban on Quran

Wilders said the Quran should be banned in the Netherlands in the column of a newspaper [AFP]

Wilders said the Quran should be banned in the Netherlands in the column of a newspaper [AFP]

A Dutch member of parliament has called for the Quran to be banned in the Netherlands, describing it as a “fascist book” which calls on people to kill non-believers and rape women.

Geert Wilders, leader of the far-right Freedom Party, called for the ban in a letter published in De Volkskrant newspaper.

In his letter, Wilders compares the Muslim holy book to Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler’s autobiography, and said the Quran has “no place in our constitutional state”.

“I have been saying this for years: there is no such thing as a moderate Islam,” Wilders wrote.

Wilders’ Freedom Party holds nine seats in the Netherlands’ 150 seat parliament.

Call for ban

Wilders also said several chapters in the Quran “call on Muslims to oppress, persecute or kill Christians, Jews, dissidents and non-believers, to beat and rape women and to establish an Islamic state by force”.

The publication of the letter comes after a weekend attack on Eshan Jami, a young Dutch politician, who established a group to support people who have renounced Islam.

Jami, who was not visibly injured in the attack, is now under police protection as is Wilders.

“Ban this wretched book like Mein Kampf is banned! Send a signal to Jami’s attackers and other Islamic radicals that the Quran cannot be used in the Netherlands as an inspiration or an excuse for violence,” Wilders said.

Wilders acknowledged that his plan would not receive majority support in the Dutch parliament.

“I am fed up with Islam in the Netherlands: no more Muslim immigrants allowed. I am fed up with the worship of Allah and Muhammad in the Netherlands: no more mosques,” his letter concluded.
